Divya and Aditya Zula
Married in Tampa, Florida on March 31, 2012
Divya and Aditya met four years ago through mutual friends. Soon after, they started dating and on their two-year anniversary Aditya proposed. Planning their wedding really brought their families closer together over a year of tastings, meeting with vendors and shopping trips to India. They were so happy with how everything turned out for the wedding and loved every vendor they chose for their big day.
Divya and Aditya’s wedding was a traditional Hindu soiree conducted by a Pandit (or Hindu priest). Before the ceremony the couple had a traditional bharaat where Aditya arrived on horse accompanied by his family and friends dancing and celebrating to the beat of live drummers. At the ceremony, Divya’s family greeted them and the decor was awash in pink, gold and light purple.
At the reception deeper shades of eggplant and turquoise decorated the ballroom and could be seen in the orchid and manzanita branch centerpieces strung with hanging candles. Paying homage to how they first met, their table names were based around the dessert menu at Bern’s steakhouse where they first met.
